This year started off rocky for my family as we lost the matriarch of our family. My mother, the lady that was very strong, very determined, and bullheaded, as well as stubborn as she born passed away. She left a lot of sorrow behind in our hearts. We mourn her constantly. We miss her dearly. I cherish the moments we shared. I remember her always doing her crazy dancing (and she had no rhythm at all). I remember her always cooking and trying out things regardless of the culture. I remember her being as miserable as a mother can be to her child, but mostly I remember her love. Her love of her children, each and every one of us. At times I doubted that love and vocalized it to my friend Pat, but he reassured me and I got back on track.
Too many times we take people for granted, we use people for our personal gain and we don't take the time to realize what that does to the people that we are using for our own needs. If I don't ever pledge another thing I do want to pledge to be a better person and love unconditionally. Free myself from all the drama, hatred, self-loathing, and worst of all the self-hatred.
Love the one you with or find another.
Love or leave, if you are not satisfied then don't waste people's time or energy.
In the year coming cherish every little thing about your loved ones. Take the time to make them feel special with the little things that we CONSTANTLY take for granted.
I wish you all the best. Much love and as always Smooches
While it Tis the season to be jolly, delighted with holly, and riddled with mistletoes, it is also a season for much of us to reflect on the loved ones that we have lost and no longer can spend that last day with them.
Losing someone is part of life, however it never gets easy to handle and the holidays only make it worse for some of us to deal with.
This holiday season I get to remember that my mother is no longer here to spend that time with us physically with us. She will always remain in our hearts though, where we keep her tucked away for those days when we need to talk to her.
In this season remember to love people; to forgive people; to give to people; to cherish people; and most importantly make your time with them be spent like if you don't see them again that you can go on knowing that you will remember the good in them. Remember that the LOVE that you felt for that person is what can make you move forward from losing them.
Love in now and remember that Tis the season.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night! Smooches <3
