Sometimes you just have to sit back; relax; take a deep breath; and.... deep inhale, deep exhale.
It seems like such a miniscule task, however it can make you feel so good deep down inside.
When was the last time you inhaled/exhaled?
Do it NOW :-)
So yesterday I was having a discussion with my family about death. My parents are at that age and that time in their life when it could literally be any day now.
They are getting weaker and weaker and we can tell by their demeanor that we need to cherish them even more now!
For my siblings and I it was easier to grasp the concept of death, however for our kids they had just a little bit harder time trying to deal with the fact that it was inevitable... I wonder if that has anything to do with our age, or just our general outlook on life.
I was exposed to death a lot in my earlier years, losing principals; teachers; family members; after a while I boycotted death/funerals.
I am not the doomsdayer of death, however I think you will have to prepare yourself to handle death because it will happen!
My mom fell sick several years ago. She fell after having a stroke (one of many), and has never been the same woman that I knew growing up. Little by little she lost her normal functions that we take for granted daily. She is unable to walk now without assistance, she barely speaks to us, and she just has not been the same woman.
This woman used to walk like flash to get around on St. Thomas; she worked 2 jobs before both of her employers lost their homes after major hurricanes. She was the disciplinarian of the family, but sometimes we would cut up and have some fun. I love my mother and treasure all the times that we have had together.
Current time will be taken to spend as much time with her before it will be time to say goodbye to her. #TreasureTheMoments life is short-lived when it's not lived!
What if you know that the last time of _____ would be your absolute last time?
How would you handle the ______?
Would you savor that last meal?
Would you savor that last kiss?
There are very few people that have the knowledge to know of their lasts, and I can guarantee you that they live that moment like it was their last, last!
If I knew that the last time would have been my last time..... I would have enjoyed it much more freely! I would have eaten that last cookie like there was no tomorrow. We need to stop living life like we have forever to live and start living more in the moment. Start enjoying our lives to the fullest.
Live with the love in your heart! Love with the life in your heart!
Toxicity and Negativity go hand in hand.
It's funny how you may be in a place where you have all the confidence in the world and someone can swoop in with some fraggaknackle bull and turn your entire world upside down in mere seconds.
They will plant doubt in your mind!
They will plant confusion in your heart!
Lastly they will plant that seed of darkness in your soul and make you doubt everything that you have built!
When you see the toxicity & the negativity coming your way run fast and don't stop to look back.
Listen to your heart!
